Fit for a Wedding

Here are some pictures of the necklaces and earrings that I made for a co-workers wedding.

I thought that the jewelry was to be given as gifts to the bridesmaids after the wedding, but I was delighted to find out that they are actually for the wedding day. Oh, how exciting.

I think they turned out very nice. The necklaces are made with sterling silver chain and lavender hydrangea chalcedony heart shaped briolettes and czech fire polished rondelles in lavender luster. They also have cream coin pearls in the center of the sterling hoop.

I don't normally like to do custom work because I don't know if I can find what they want and what if they don't like the design. I prefer to make what I like and hope that others like it too. In this case she does like it and I think that they turned out very pretty. Very glittery.

Here are the earrings.

Introduction

I decided to blog about baking and beading because I love both of those topics. After reading so many other blogs, mainly about baking, I felt inspired to create my own blog. The Internet really brings a whole new level to a cookbook reader like me with so many wonderful recipes to try. My grandmother used to 'read' cookbooks all of the time. It is in my blood:)

I love looking at the photos that some wonderful bloggers take of there baking creations. My mouth waters. I also thought I would blog about jewelry making as well. My photography is a work in progress. I don't make up my own recipes; I'm definitely a recipe follower.

So, after reading so many recipes and so many other blogs I will toss my hat in the blogger circle and report on my baking and beading adventures.

I also am a wife to a wonderful man and and a mother to two wonderful boys. I have worked at WKBW-TV in Buffalo, NY for 22 years and I direct the news. I work weekends and nights but that works for our family.
